Crypto futures exchange software

Crypto futures exchange software for perpetual contracts

Let your users go long or short with up to 125x leverage on the same account they use for spot. Liquidations use a fair mark price, losses beyond margin are covered by an insurance fund, and your risk team sees every open position.

Trading screen

Open, manage and close positions on one screen

The futures terminal uses the same layout as spot, so a user who knows one knows the other. The header adds the mark price, the index price and the funding rate with a countdown to the next payment.

Placing an order

  • Market or limit order, long or short
  • Leverage from 1x to 125x on a slider, with quick presets
  • The user enters margin in USDT; the platform shows size, entry fee and the estimated liquidation price before confirming
  • Optional take-profit and stop-loss prices on the same order

Managing a position

Each position shows entry price, mark price, margin, unrealised profit and loss and liquidation price, updated live. Users can add or change take-profit and stop-loss later, or close the position at market with one click. Pending limit orders sit in their own tab until the price reaches them.

Margin modes

Isolated and cross margin, like the large venues

Users pick the mode on the order form. Experienced traders expect both, and offering only one is a common reason they leave a new exchange.

Isolated margin

The margin put into a position is the most that position can lose. If the mark price hits the liquidation price, only that position closes and the rest of the account is untouched.

Good for single trades with high leverage, and the easier mode for newer users to understand.

Cross margin

All cross positions share the user's free balance. The platform compares total equity (free balance plus margin plus unrealised profit) with the maintenance margin of every open position.

A winning position supports a losing one, so positions are liquidated later, but when it happens all cross positions in that currency close together.

Mark price

Liquidations based on a fair price, not one bad trade

If liquidations used the last traded price on your own exchange, one large order on a thin book could push the price for a moment and wipe out positions that would have been fine a second later. Traders know this, and they avoid venues where it happens.

CryptoTech calculates an index price from the spot prices of Binance, OKX, Bybit and MEXC, taking the median and ignoring sources that stray too far from the others. The mark price is that index plus a smoothed average of the gap between your own last price and the index. Liquidations, unrealised profit and funding all use the mark price.

If outside prices are unavailable, the mark falls back to a smoothed version of your own last price, so the exchange keeps working.

Index

Median spot price across four major exchanges, outliers removed.

Mark

Index plus the smoothed difference to your own market.

Used for

Liquidations, unrealised PnL and the value funding is charged on.

Visible

Both prices show in the trading screen header and on each position.

Funding

Funding fees that keep contracts close to spot

A perpetual contract never expires, so holding a position for days should cost something. That is the funding fee: at every funding interval, a percentage of each open position's value at mark price moves between longs and shorts. With a positive rate longs pay and shorts receive; with a negative rate it is the other way round.

You set the rate and the interval (8 hours by default) in the admin panel. Payments are taken from and added to position margin automatically, and every one is recorded in the funding report. Users see the rate and a countdown to the next payment above the chart.

Risk and insurance

Tools for the operator, not just the trader

Futures trade against the exchange's book, so the operator carries the other side. CryptoTech gives your risk team a clear view of what is open and a fund to absorb the losses that liquidations cannot cover.

Insurance fund

When a liquidated position still has margin left, it goes into the insurance fund. When a fast move leaves a position with a loss larger than its margin, the shortfall is taken from the fund. Your team can also top it up or withdraw from it, and every entry is recorded with the balance after it.

A public insurance fund page shows its balance to users. It is a simple way to show traders that the exchange is ready for volatile days.

Futures risk page

In the admin panel, the futures risk page shows live open futures positions next to the insurance fund ledger, so exposure and cover are on one screen.

FAQ

Crypto futures exchange questions

Which package includes futures?

Futures come with the Business package and above, together with swap, options, launchpad and staking. See pricing.

What kind of futures contracts are supported?

USDT-margined perpetual contracts, long or short, with market and limit orders, take-profit and stop-loss, and leverage from 1x to 125x.

How is the liquidation price calculated?

From the entry price, leverage and the maintenance margin rate. The platform shows an estimate before the order is placed and the exact value on the open position. Liquidation triggers on the mark price, not the last trade.

Where does the mark price come from?

From an index built on the spot prices of Binance, OKX, Bybit and MEXC (the median, outliers removed), plus a smoothed average of the difference between your own market and that index.

How often is funding paid?

At every funding interval, which is 8 hours by default. You set both the interval and the rate in the admin panel. Users see the rate and a countdown above the chart, and each payment is recorded in the admin reports.

Who is the counterparty to user positions?

The exchange. Futures settle against the house book, which is why the platform includes an insurance fund and a risk page for your team.

Can users trade futures on mobile?

Yes. The website has a mobile futures layout, and the native app in the Enterprise package includes full futures trading.
