Grid and DCA trading bots inside your exchange

Your users start an automated strategy in a few clicks, with no API keys and no outside service. The bots place real orders in your order book from the user's own balance, which adds steady volume to your markets.

Why built-in bots

Why offer trading bots on your own exchange

Many traders already use bots. Usually that means signing up to a third-party service and giving it an API key that can trade their account. With bots built into the exchange, there is nothing to connect and no key to leak.

For you, a running bot is a user who keeps funds on your exchange and trades every day without being reminded. A grid bot with twenty levels places twenty orders, and every fill earns you a fee.

No API keys

Bots act for the user inside the platform; nothing leaves your servers.

Real orders

Bot orders sit in the normal order book and match like any other order.

Fees on every fill

Normal maker and taker fees apply, by the user's VIP level.

Sticky users

Funds working in a bot stay on your exchange.

Grid bot

Spot grid bot: buy low, sell high, on repeat

A grid bot splits a price range into levels and keeps a buy order below the price and a sell order above it. Every time the price moves through a level and back, the bot buys and sells once and keeps the difference. It works best when a coin moves sideways.

Settings

  • Price range: a lower and an upper price
  • Number of grids: 2 to 150 levels
  • Spacing: arithmetic (equal price steps) or geometric (equal percentage steps)
  • Investment in the quote coin, such as USDT
  • Take-profit and stop-loss prices that stop the bot automatically

What happens at start

The bot buys the coin it needs for the levels above the current price, then places limit buys at the levels below and limit sells at the levels above. When a buy fills, it places a sell one level higher. When that sell fills, it books the profit and places the buy again.

The suggested number of grids takes the user's trading fee into account, so each step is wide enough to make a profit after fees. Users can change it, and the preview warns when a grid step would lose money.

DCA bot

DCA bot: average down, sell on the bounce

A DCA (dollar-cost averaging) bot buys a coin, buys more if the price drops, and sells everything once the price rises a set percentage above the average cost. It suits users who believe in a coin and want a better entry without watching the chart.

  • Base order: the first market buy
  • Safety orders: limit buys placed at growing distances below the entry
  • Step scale widens the gap between safety orders; volume scale makes each one larger
  • Take-profit % above the average cost, moved after every safety fill
  • Stop-loss % below the average cost (optional)
  • Repeat: start a new cycle after each take-profit

The preview shows every safety order price and amount, and the total the cycle could need, before the bot starts.

Running a bot

Following and stopping a bot

  • A list of running and stopped bots with investment, profit and profit percentage
  • Bot details with every open order and the full order history
  • A Bots tab on the trading screen, and a "Bot" label on its orders under Open Orders
  • Bot orders cannot be cancelled by hand, so a bot never loses track of its own orders
  • Stop at any time: cancel all orders and either keep the coins or sell them at market
  • Automatic stop when the take-profit or stop-loss price is reached
  • Full bot management in the mobile app (Enterprise)

Bots use the user's spot Trading balance. When a bot stops, everything it held is back in that balance, and the profit shown is exactly the change in the user's funds.

Admin controls

Limits and oversight for your team

  • Turn bots on or off for the whole exchange
  • Set how many bots one user may run at once (10 by default)
  • Require verified identity before a user can start a bot
  • See every running bot with its owner, pair, investment and profit
  • Stop any bot from the admin panel, for example before market maintenance
  • A health indicator showing when the bot engine last ran

The bot engine runs as its own background service, which staff can start and stop from the admin panel.
